Keukenhof, which is known as the “Garden of Europe,” is one of my favorite places on the planet. I first ventured out to this garden on my solo backpacking trip when I was 20. I spent over 6 hours roaming the fields of tulips and, for the first time since my college graduation, I felt totally at peace with myself. The pictures do not do the fields justice. To me, they look like a Van Gogh painting full of color, mystery, and beauty.
“Normality is a paved road: It’s comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow”
-Vincent Van Gogh
